Abstract of Gloria tower and experiments today w ink and dip pens by me Gloria Poole,RN,artist of/in Missouri

This is a sketch abstract that I made on the 30th of Jan 2016 after I had seen news comments about "Trump tower". I decided I would draw Gloria tower on paper. So I did with inktense and acrylic on 6 x8 watercolor-specific paper. I made it, signed it, photographed it, uploaded it and posted it today 1 Feb 2016 at 10:11am. I drew in a faint lop-sided second tower in pencil to show that Gloria tower is tall like a skyscraper! Copyrighted. This is my today's experiment with testing a calligraphy nib and a drawing nib of dip pens. Dip pens mean just that--you dip them in an ink well and then draw or write your characters with them. They have interchangeable nibs [or points/ tips if you prefer those words] and they have a wide variety of them. I own several of them and I draw with them intermittently. They allow the use of a wide variety of inks including acrylic and waterproof which fountain pens do not allow. Calligraphy is drawing or constructing letters and words instead of simply writing them in standard script. I like the appearance of calligraphy and the ancient manuscripts that had calligraphy and also illustrations. This is not a fancy sketch. I could have tested the dip pens & nibs with lines of scribbles but decided to make it something more. I painted in the orangish-yellow circle with watercolor and a brush. I signed it with a calligraphy pen nib but I didn't allow myself enough room for the width of that nib as you see, and so my signature looks sort of squashed and the ink bled some. It's a learning process to use dip pens and nibs, and it takes much practice. The angle of the pen makes a huge difference. in fact you can see all the places where I unintentionally rotated the nib some and the ink made a blob. So, it's a step in a learning curve. I draw with inks intermittently. I also draw with a wide variety of artistic pencils and also with certain brushes. I had a year of formal training in drawing and had to draw a different object placed before me every day and complete the drawing within an hour. So, when my drawing is not going well, I feel myself tense up and I start thinking to myself 'Oh, NO! What must I do to salvage this drawing?". I am posting this drawing for the record so to speak. Those are my fingers on the left edge of the 8 x 11 paper that I drew this on. I did not size this paper first because I didn't intend it to be a drawing when I first began this and was doodling with ink. You can see where I used the wide calligraphy nib and where I used the drawing lines nib.

I still have many problems caused by other people who try to hijack my blogs or years of content I created or my name or my telephones, or my twitter accounts. It's an on-going battle to hold onto what I have created and own the copyrights too. I have several telephones and on different carriers for several reasons and the main one is to stay alive since my 2nd exhusband [with initials DBP of Colorado] made many threats to "track me like an animal and kill me". But he is not going to get that chance if I can help it, by the power of GOD HIMSELF who is my protector. I rotate my numbers around some when I think my exhusband might be stalking me.
